CHS HEROES

This is a Mobile based Application developed by CHS in consultation with adolescents to offer age-tailored information on prevention of further HIV transmission, sexuality, drug abuse, reproductive health, peer pressure and mental health challenges, with the ultimate aim of increasing treatment adherence and developing adolescent agency to prevent risky social behavior and reduce HIV infection and STIs among adolescents.

Additionally, the technology application will survey adolescents on mental health challenges they are facing that could be hindering treatment adherence and healthy decisions around their sexual and reproductive health. The survey data will help the adolescents’ care teams and peer mentors to better respond to potential risks to adherence and retention for their clients. At a macro-level, the data collected will aid CHS in refining the package of care provided.
